The U.S. Open remains one of my favorite times of the year in New York. Top-notch tennis, great weather {usually}, and friends make a great combination. One of the highlights of the U.S. Open experience is the signature cocktail, the Honey Deuce. It was created by Nick Mautone, Grey Goose's mixologist, to embody the spirit of the U.S. Open. The cocktail is so refreshing and easy to create at home.
1 1/4 parts Grey Goose Vodka
Freshly Squeezed Lemonade
Splash of Chambord or any other raspberry liquor
Honeydew melon balls for garnish
The recipe calls for freshly squeezed lemonade, but I just use the Simply Lemonade from the grocery store and whatever vodka that I may have around. I love how the honeydew melon garnish looks like little tennis balls. Hope that you enjoy this cocktail while watching the Open, as well as throughout the year!
Now, who do you think will take the title this year?
