Tournament of Champions

Next week kicks off one of my favorite events of winter in NYC, the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions. Each year a specially built glass squash court is setup in Grand Central's Vanderbilt Hall to showcase the top squash players in the world. The court and venue is listed as one of the top 10 most unusual sports venues in the world.

Maybe it is because my twin brother played college squash or my younger brother is currently playing college squash, but there is something so exciting about watching a high-level squash match. It is so fast paced, athletic yet graceful and the results can change so quickly, even at match point.

The tournament lasts from January 20-26 and you can buy tickets {link provided} for a 12pm, 3pm or 6pm viewing time. Each viewing time consists of two matches. You can also watch the tournament for free from the front wall while passing through Grand Central. All of the matches will be incredibly competitive and will showcase the top squash players from around the world. Hope you snag some tickets or can swing by to check out the action!
