Happy {Chambray} Friday!

I finally bit the bullet and purchased a Chambray shirt last weekend. I have been searching for various ways to sport the look and found a number of great options on Pinterest. Here are some of my favorite pictures incorporating the trend. A chambray shirt can work with skirts, pants, shorts or even over a dress or under a blazer. I tried it out for the first time this week with dark jeans and a fun belt and loved it. Happy last Friday in April!! #TGIF

Jill Rosenwald

This past weekend my good friend Ali and I stopped by one of her favorite stores, F. Gerald New and found the most adorable monogrammed trays. I turned the tray over and saw the Jill Rosenwald signature on the back and went home to look up what else she offered.

The trays that we saw were the "Hampton Links" and come in a variety of colors with a bright monogram. In addition to what we saw, Jill Rosenwald also has platters in all shapes and sizes, vases, lamps, and rugs. I absolutely love the rain and navy color combo for the trays and any of the chevron prints as well. Any of her choices would make great gifts and add a great personal touch. I definitely will be ordering something for my new apartment soon!

Slipper Ballet Flats

Although I am a die hard Stubbs & Wootton fan I was recently walking by the Cole Haan store and saw these adorable slippers. I immediately went to look them up to scope them out and found out they are call the "Air Morgan Slipper Ballet".

These flats are perfect for the spring and come in so many colors. The website offers everything from bright summer colors to leopard to metallic. The best part? The slippers have the Nike air technology so you will feel supported and comfortable. The flats are $168 for a pair and are a great spring and summer accessory. I am currently loving the peach with pink piping. Now is the perfect time to spring into some slipper ballet flats!

Happy {Scallop} Friday!

After recently purchasing the Raindrop lace top from J.Crew, I have started to notice how flattering a scalloped edge looks on a blouse, skirt, shorts or any accessory. A simple twist can really change up a plain outfit. Here are some favorite style combinations that use scallops. I can't wait until it is permanently shorts weather!

Roarke

I love a unique statement necklace that can instantly dress up and change an outfit. If this is something you love as well I highly recommend checking out the gorgeous necklaces from Roarke NYC

Rourke was launched in 2009 by two women, Mignonne Gavigan and Laetitia Stanfield, who wanted to offer women something new and fresh in the jewelry world. All of their pieces are extremely unique and showcase beautiful beading and intricacies.  My favorite is the classic "Le Charlot" necklace which I have worn with a black cocktail dress as well as jeans and a white t-shirt.

If you aren't sure you can pull off such a large necklace be sure to check our their "Ways to Wear" portion of their webiste. So many women have worn these necklaces in so many ways, all which look fantastic! For all you New Yorkers, you can find the Roarke necklaces in Henri Bendel or you can always purchase them online. You will be guaranteed many compliments by adding one of these necklaces to your wardrobe!

Rail and Wharf

While going through the mail that had piled up on my coffee table last night, I stopped and flipped through the latest J.Crew catalog. When I finished I turned it over and saw the Rail and Wharf bags on the back and immediately loved them.

The bags come in a 12-hour tote {pictured above} a 24-hour tote, a 48-hour duffle and a dopp kit. While the bags are listed in the men's section I would most definitely use them for myself.

The bags are made of  durable cotton canvas and are reinforced on the bottom. Additionally all bag shapes can fit over your shoulder and have a zipper which is often a deal breaker for me. Can it get any better? YES. You can monogram or emboss your bag and select from 18 different colors. I am totally sold on this bag but need to decide which color to select. I am debating the natural colored tote with a camel, sky or navy monogram. Any suggestions?
